No hippos in fairy tales? Not anymore!
All Bubi the Hippo wants is to be part of a fairy tale. Every night he dreams of being a hero—talking to stars, defeating monsters, and being loved by readers. But waiting doesn’t work. So Bubi sets off on a journey to find a story of his own.
He knocks on the doors of classic tales—Jack and the Beanstalk, the Ant and the Grasshopper, the Frog Prince—but every character says the same thing: “There’s no room for a hippo in our story!” Bubi is too big, too late, or simply not what the story needs. Just when he’s about to give up, Bubi takes his case straight to the top: the illustrator and the author! But the book they’re working on is about space—and there’s definitely no hippo in outer space… or is there?
Through perseverance, imagination, and a sprinkle of mischief, Bubi may just find a place where he belongs—not in an old tale, but in a brand-new one.
