Ferda İzbudak Akıncı was born in İzmir. Akıncı started her literature adventure with poetry, then started producing literary works of short stories, book critics and literary interviews. Her writings are often published in renowned Turkish literary magazines such as Varlık, Evrensel Kültür and Cumhuriyet Book Magazine. Among many awards, she was presented the Necati Cumalı Special Award in 2000 and the second pace in Tudem Literature Awards in 2002.
