Nanni is a mouse living in the fields of a big farm. One day, he sees migrating birds and wonders where they are going. An owl tells him they are off to find their purpose in life. Nanni decides to search for his own purpose, meeting various characters along the way, from a baby girl to a clockmaker, ending up in a theatre full of mice.
